Helvetica Neue is simply a contemporary version of the Helvetica font. The font was introduced by Wolfgang Schimpf with the assistance of Reinhard Haus, Erik Spiekermann and Rene Kerfante. This font has many sub categories in its family. Each derivation has a unique quality and is as effective as the original font.
One example of the derivations is the Helvetica Neue Light Condensed that comes with lighter strokes and height, integrated with additional spacing and stronger punctuation marks to increase the impact and legibility of the font. Although the font looks quite squeezed together and distorted in comparison to the original font, it remains as aesthetic and stylish as the original font.
